On Sunday, October 19, 2014 Sherman Oaks Hospital (SOH) was pleased to
contribute to
The Sherman Oaks Chamber of Commerce 24th Annual Sherman Oaks Street Fair. An event that is now one of the largest
block parties in the entire San Fernando Valley.
For the last 23 years, the Sherman Oaks Chamber has successfully attracted
over 75,000 visitors to their community wide event. Sherman Oaks Hospital,
as a participating Gold Sponsor, has helped the Chamber in past years
earn over $400,000 in supplies, equipment, and cash support for the local
public schools in our community. "Our organization understands that
strong and productive local public schools are vital to the long-term
health of a community and the businesses within it," says Dr. Bob
Cohen, President of the Sherman Oaks Chamber.
SOH was delighted to partake in the dynamic Street Fair which gave the
hospital an opportunity to showcase their new leadership, physicians,
services, and connect directly with its community. Sherman Oaks hospital
RNs also provided free blood pressure checks and the Amputation Prevention
Center presented valuable information on wound care, prevention and its
upcoming Diabetes Awareness event in November. "We believe effective
communication and education within the community we serve helps enhance
healthcare delivery. Our hospital RNs and staff who partake in these events
help our hospital make these vital connections," states Roland Santos,
Chief Nursing Officer at Sherman Oaks Hospital.
Sherman Oaks Hospital is non-profit and is owned and operated by Prime
Healthcare Services. SOH offers 24/7 ER, high-quality inpatient, outpatient
and "continuum of care" services.
